"Throughout my years of painting, I've come to realize the importance of process and that there is a purpose in every step. My work utilizes raw and refined elements to create a sense of depth and texture that recognizes this process."
Rob Williams from Windsor Colorado. his painting’s are felt landscapes, loosely based on nature, environment and his personal experience of life. Using rags, brushes, sanders and unconventional implements Rob’s process is basically a layering of applied, removed and excavated house paint, graphite, gouache, ink, and acrylics onto handmade wooden panels. This process of merging foreground to background, essentially squeezing the essence from both creates a cohesive work that lives somewhere between tangible and spiritual.
